By | July 20th, 2017|Creative, Design, roux Team, Uncategorized|0 Comments

“I strive for two things in design: simplicity and clarity. Great design is born of those two things.” - Lindon Leader   With ol’ Lindon’s words running through my mind, my overall goal for the new roux website was for it to be a breath of fresh air. My main goal ties in with my desire for roux to have a site that reflects who they are as a company, and I feel that this mission was accomplished. I used a clean, sophisticated style so that users didn’t feel overwhelmed with graphics and information. I craved [...]

Please leave a [...]

Surrounded by Creativity

By | May 19th, 2017|Uncategorized|0 Comments

Sometimes when I am driving in crazy traffic out of frustration I say I am surrounded by idiots. But then I realize that everyone is just trying to get somewhere just like I am and I try to think of the other drivers, as my sister does, as her “friends.”   One day while not in rush hour traffic, I began thinking about how many creative people are in my life. Of course, working at a marketing and communication agency lends itself to being connected to the creative community. But what I started noticing was extraordinary. [...]

Leading B’Yond Example

By | April 7th, 2017|Uncategorized|0 Comments

“The reality is that the only way change comes is when you lead by example” – Anne Wojcicki   I used to think that leading by example was good enough until I had kids. Then I realized that showing and sharing the reasons behind the example helped my boys understand and helped me to be a more effective influence.   As leaders, we often leverage position and control instead of example and influence. That may have been effective in the past but more people in the workplace (and children) want to understand the reasons.   [...]
