The Global Leadership Summit (GLS) is scheduled for August 9-10, 2018 and we at roux are looking forward to our annual retreat. Held in Chicago, IL and broadcast all over the world in approximately 600 satellite locations, GLS shows leaders of all types of organizations how to apply Christian principles in business situations. This year they expect nearly 450,000 people to participate.
It is so important to us at roux that we close up shop (checking in with clients on anything pressing) and spend two days together learning, comparing notes and gathering all kinds of new ideas to try, blogs to follow, videos to watch, and books to read. We’ve hosted clients at the summit and always encourage them to either go with us to the host location Church of the City in Franklin, TN or to attend at another site of their choosing.
Last year I was very moved by the message from Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook. I also read her book, Option B, which is the true story of keeping her life, her family and her company going and thriving after the sudden death of her husband. This year I can’t wait to hear what Denzel Washington and Simon Sinek among many other gifted professionals have to share with us.
The onsite session in Chicago is sold out but there is plenty availability in the satellite locations. Please plan to join us in Franklin or participate at a location convenient to you.
